DROUGHT RELIEF FUNDRAISER
FOR AUSTRALIAN FARMERS
A drought relief ‘Church Camp’ fundraiser for Australian farmers in Coonabarabran and Baradine NSW, was held at Port Macquarie Adventist Church in 2018.
The church organisers felt impressed by God to put the money usually spent on accommodation, travel and catering at an annual camp at Stuarts Point, into “something better.”
Instead of camping at Stuarts Point, the camp was held at the church and school grounds. The money church members would have spent on camping was combined with the Sabbath offering and donated to farmers.
On Saturday night there was a barn dance with games, live music, food and lots of fun!
We collected just over $12,000 and people donated children’s books and toys for the children.
“We encourage all churches to step out in faith and do something similar to help our farming communities. Your own blessing will be so much greater for doing it.”
