Port Macquarie Adventist Church is a not-for-profit organisation, and we acknowledge God’s ownership by faithful service to God, and our fellow human beings by giving offerings.

Offerings is where personal financial generosity helps to finance our:

  • Local church budget

  • Church Ministries

  • Missionary programs

  • Worldwide health outreach - Adventist Hospitals, Health centres

  • Education centres

  • ADRA

  • Local evangelism projects

Tithe

 

Tithe in the Bible means tenth, and was the tenth of the gifts that the Israelites were required to return to God.

“Every tithe of the herd and flock - every tenth animal that passes under the shepherd’s rod - will be holy to the Lord.” - LEVITICUS 27:32

We continue to return one-tenth or 10% of our income to the God through His Church.  These funds are used to grow and promote the truth of the Jesus throughout the world, by supporting those employed in gospel ministry.

In returning tithe, we are simply giving back to God what’s already His. 

We are proud members of the worldwide Seventh-day Adventist Church which supports a global outreach of tens of thousands of pastors, evangelists, Bible workers, teachers, missionaries, and others.  We consider it an honour to be a part of such a global movement.  We happily return tithe for something larger than ourselves and our own wants and needs. 

The returning of tithes and offerings is a matter of personal faith, between you and God.  The greatest rewards in giving belong to the giver, and they transcend monetary returns.
